The first full book I ever created! It includes photos from my study abroad trip to Italy in 2016. In addition to constructing the book by hand, I letterpressed the cover (My first time ever letterpressing!), sewed in copies of pamphlets I collected, and back cover includes a scanned and reprinted mini version of my journal from the 6 week trip. I made two copies simultaneously.

 

While in Italy, I took an Oil Painting class, and a Photography class, which included my first darkroom experience. When we weren’t in classes, we traveled all around Italy, visited countless museums and galleries, cooked American meals for our teachers, and I played Pokemon Go while people-watching in the plazas with my roommates.
